Around 250 senior citizens (Category A2) who have been pre-registered and identified are expected to have received their coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines at SM Lanang Premier today.
The vaccination, which was spearheaded by the Davao City Health Office, proved to be comfortable for the senior citizens with the mall’s Cinema Hallway as venue.
This showcases the strong partnership between the SM Supermalls and the government in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
“SM worked closely with the Davao City Government to ensure that health protocols are followed during the A2 inoculations for senior citizens 60 years old and above,” SM Supermalls Mindanao Regional Operations Manager Engr. Jonathan Nick Santos said.
Santos said SM Supermalls supports government’s efforts by providing safe spaces for vaccination efforts throughout the country.
Just recently, SM City General Santos also served as the venue for the COVID-19 vaccination in the area. The vaccinations will also be done at SM CITY Davao on Monday, May 17.
With this, seniors will now have more confidence when they need to access the mall for essentials because they are already vaccinated.
“We imagine a safer country when inoculations happen on a bigger scale in the days to come. SM will be there as a dependable partner of the government.”
