Economic frontliners, to include KCC General Santos City and Koronadal employees as well as those working in various mall establishments, are set to get coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines starting today.
This was made possible through the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII). The FFCCII purchased a total of 7,998 Sinovac vials which arrived in General Santos City Monday, July 12.
“We’re giving it to our employees and the people for free,” South Cotabato Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce Inc. (SCFCCCI) President, Cyril Ang said as he welcomed the arrival of the vaccines at the GSC International Airport.
The recipients are workers of SCFCCCI’s over 200 member companies and establishments that have signified to get the vaccines.
Ang said the 7,998 doses of Sinovac vaccine are intended for the first and second shots of some 3,999 workers.
A team from St. Elizabeth Hospital will conduct the vaccination. The Safify social distancing platform will be used to ensure a smooth rollout of the vaccination process from the supply cahin, inventory, and administration of the vaccine.
